Browse old and second hand kids clothing listed by families across India — baby clothes in bundles by age, everyday wear, school uniforms, sweaters and jackets, and ethnic outfits for festivals and weddings. Children outgrow clothes long before they wear out, so gently used pieces are common.

Buying in bundles by age
Many sellers list baby and toddler clothes as a bundle for one age range, such as newborn, 0–6 months or 1–2 years. Bundles are handy but check them piece by piece. Ask for the brand's size label rather than the age alone, since sizes vary between brands, and buy slightly ahead of your child's current size — they grow fast.
What to check on each piece
- Stains. Look at collars, cuffs, the front and the seat. Food and milk stains that have set are hard to remove.
- Fabric. Cotton is best for Indian summers and sensitive baby skin. Check for pilling, thinning at the knees and elbows, and fabric that has gone stiff.
- Fastenings. Test snaps, buttons and zips. Loose buttons are a choking risk for babies, so resew or remove them.
- Elastic. Stretch waistbands and cuffs. Elastic that has lost its spring will not hold up.
- Smell. A musty or damp smell can mean the clothes were stored wet. They may need several washes.
School uniforms
Used school uniforms are a smart buy because children outgrow them within a year or two. Confirm the school name, the colour shade and the logo or badge, as schools sometimes change their design. Check blazers and sweaters for moth holes and shirts for yellowed collars.
Ethnic wear for occasions
Kids' kurtas, lehengas, sherwanis and pavadai are often worn once or twice for a wedding or festival. Check embroidery, sequins and zari for loose threads, the lining for tears, and the fit at the shoulders and length. Loose beads and sequins on baby outfits should be removed or stitched firmly.
Hygiene and washing
Wash everything before your child wears it. Use a mild, fragrance-free detergent for babies, and hot water where the fabric allows. Dry in sunlight when you can. Many parents prefer to buy innerwear and socks new.
