Used Vehicles in Chandigarh – Bikes & Cycles | Olditems
Used Vehicles & Cycles for Sale in Chandigarh
Chandigarh is one of the few Indian cities built with cycle tracks along its main roads, so bicycles sell here alongside scooters, motorcycles and cars. Owners list from the sectors, from Mohali and from Panchkula, which makes the tricity one market for buyers — but three different states for paperwork.
Deal directly with the owner, test ride, and check the papers before paying. There is no commission on Olditems, and payment and transfer are settled between you and the seller. See also used bicycles across India.

The southern sectors and the Panjab University area around Sector 14 and Sector 15 see student turnover: bicycles, scooters and commuter bikes, especially at the end of the academic year. Family homes in the larger-plot sectors, along with Manimajra, list cars and well-kept scooters. Mohali — Phases 3 to 11 and the newer sectors around Kharar Road and Airport Road — and Panchkula's sectors and Zirakpur add a steady stream of cars and bikes as people move for jobs. Bicycles are easy to sell in Chandigarh because riders can use the cycle tracks, the Sukhna Lake area and the roads towards the Shivalik foothills.
Three states, so check the registration
A Chandigarh vehicle carries a CH registration, a Mohali vehicle a Punjab (PB) registration, and a Panchkula vehicle a Haryana (HR) registration. Buying across that line is an inter-state transfer: the seller must get an NOC from the original registering authority before the vehicle can be registered where you live. Find out which authority the vehicle is registered with before you agree a price, because it changes the paperwork.
RC — in the seller's name; chassis and engine numbers must match the vehicle.
Insurance and PUC — both valid.
Loan — hypothecation cancelled on the RC, with the lender's NOC.
Transfer forms — Form 29 and Form 30 signed by both parties, plus the inter-state NOC where needed.
Challans — check the number for pending e-challans before paying.
Inspecting the vehicle
Winter mornings in the tricity are cold and often foggy, which shows up weak batteries and worn starters — so start the vehicle from cold if you can. Check the brakes, clutch, gears and all lights, and look for oil leaks. For a bicycle, spin both wheels to check for wobble, test both brakes, look at the chain and sprockets for wear, and check the frame closely around the joints for cracks or rust. Have a mechanic look at any car or bike you are serious about.
Selling in Chandigarh
Say which sector or phase you are in and which state the vehicle is registered in — buyers want to know before they call. Give the year, kilometres, owner number and insurance validity, or for a cycle the frame size and gear count. Meet in a public place in daylight, and release the vehicle only once payment has cleared. Read our guide to selling a used vehicle, post a free ad, or see all Chandigarh listings.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, but it is an inter-state transfer. Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana each register vehicles separately, so the seller needs an NOC from the original authority before the vehicle can be re-registered in your name where you live.
