Browse used TVs listed by people across India — LED, smart, 4K and older LCD models from Samsung, LG, Sony, Mi, TCL, OnePlus and more. Families upgrading to a bigger screen and people relocating sell TVs that still have years of life left.
Contact the seller directly, watch the TV running before you pay, and arrange transport between you. Olditems takes no commission and never handles payment or delivery.
Test the panel properly
The panel is the most expensive part of a TV and rarely worth repairing, so spend most of your time here. Ask the seller to switch the TV on at least a few minutes before you arrive and play something you choose.
- Lines. Look for vertical or horizontal lines, even faint ones — they usually get worse over time.
- Dead or stuck pixels. Display plain white, black, red, green and blue screens (search "dead pixel test" on YouTube) and scan closely.
- Backlight bleed and patches. In a darkened room, play a black screen. Bright corners, cloudy patches or dark spots point to backlight problems.
- Colour and brightness. Faces should look natural. A dim or bluish picture on maximum brightness can mean failing backlight strips.
Smart features, ports and remote
- Software. Check which OS it runs (Android TV, Google TV, webOS, Tizen or others), whether it still gets updates, and that the apps you use install and play smoothly.
- Ports. Test every HDMI port with a set-top box or laptop, plus USB and the optical or audio out if you use a soundbar.
- Remote. Original smart remotes with voice or pointer control can be hard to replace. Make sure it is included and every button works.
- Stand or wall mount. Ask for the table stand screws and the wall-mount bracket, if it was wall-mounted.
Bill and warranty
Ask for the original bill and box. Some TVs are still within brand warranty or an extended warranty, which may transfer with the bill. Read our 7-point used smart TV checklist for more detail.
Getting it home safely
Carry and transport a flat-panel TV upright, ideally in its original box. Laying it flat in the back of an auto or car lets the panel flex and crack. Wrap the screen in a blanket, keep nothing on top of it, and hold it by the frame, never the screen.
Fair price and safe dealing
Compare similar current listings by screen size, resolution and age. Pay only after seeing the TV working, and never pay a token or advance online, share an OTP or scan a QR code to "receive" money — see our safety tips. Browse electronics under ₹10,000 or under ₹20,000, and pick up a second hand TV unit to go with it.
