Where used dining sets turn up in Noida
Noida Extension and the expressway sectors list the most 6-seater sets, many only a few years old, from families upgrading or relocating. Rented flats around Sector 62 and the IT offices list compact and foldable 4-seaters. The older sectors — 15, 19, 50 and around Sector 18 — are where solid sheesham and teak dining tables turn up; they are heavier but often only need a polish and new chair cushions.
What a used dining set costs in Noida
Solid-wood sets hold value best; glass and engineered-wood sets drop faster, especially if the chair fabric is worn. A family on a moving deadline is usually the best deal. Check what the chairs are worth separately — a good table with tired chairs can still be a fair buy if the price reflects it.
How to check a second hand dining set
- Wobble. Press down on each corner of the table and rock every chair. Loose joints are fixable but should lower the price.
- Top. Look along the surface in daylight for heat rings, deep scratches and lifting veneer; check glass edges for chips.
- Chairs. Sit in every chair and check the seat fabric, cane or cushion and each leg.
- Extensions. If the table extends or folds, operate it fully.
- Size. Measure your dining space with chairs pulled out, and the route in.
Moving furniture across Noida
Almost every Noida society needs a gate pass from the maintenance office before furniture can leave, and many fix a slot for the goods lift. Ask the seller to arrange both for the pickup day, and check the same rules at your own society for the drop. A tempo is the usual answer for one or two pieces. Noida, Greater Noida and Noida Extension are close on the map but the expressway and the Kisan Chowk stretch slow down sharply at peak hours, so plan the move for a weekday morning or a weekend.
Glass tops must travel separately, upright and wrapped. Ask the seller whether the legs unbolt from the top before you book the tempo and the goods lift.
Pay safely
Meet the seller at the address where the item is kept, in daylight. Never pay an advance or "token" online for something you have not seen, and never share an OTP or scan a QR code to make a payment — pay by cash or UPI in person after inspecting it. Olditems does not sell, deliver or hold payment. Read our safety tips and browse all used furniture in Noida.
