Where buyers are in Gurgaon
DLF Phases 1–5, Cyber City and the area around MG Road attract working tenants who want a ready-to-use bed, sofa and desk. Golf Course Road and Golf Course Extension Road have larger apartments where families buy sectional sofas, king beds and six-seater dining tables. Sohna Road, Sector 56–57 and South City are mixed family markets. The newer sectors along Dwarka Expressway and New Gurgaon fill up with first-time owners and tenants furnishing on a budget — good buyers for wardrobes, beds and study tables.
Gate passes and move-out rules
Most Gurgaon condominiums do not let furniture leave without a material gate pass from the facility management or maintenance office, often only in set hours and sometimes only once dues are cleared. Tenants may also need a note from the owner. Sort this out before the buyer arrives with a tempo, and tell buyers in your ad which gate and service lift to use. Book the service lift if your society requires it.
Pricing against new
Many Gurgaon buyers compare with new furniture from online stores or the Sultanpur furniture market on the MG Road side towards Delhi. Price below a comparable new piece, adjusted for age and condition, and check the used listings below. Branded and solid-wood pieces, recliners and ergonomic office chairs hold value well here. Use the furniture price calculator as a guide.
Quick sale checklist
- List two to three weeks before your lease ends — the last weekend is when dealers' low offers look tempting.
- Give dimensions and mention the society name or sector so nearby buyers find you.
- Say the buyer arranges the tempo; that is the norm for direct sales.
- Take full payment and confirm it in your bank app before the gate pass is handed over.
