Gurgaon has one of the richest supplies of used furniture in NCR. Corporate relocations out of Cyber City and Golf Course Road, and tenants moving out of high-rise societies, put sofas, beds, dining tables, study tables, office chairs and TV units back on the market — often from well-kept flats and only a few years old.
Browse the listings below, message the owner directly and inspect before you pay. No commission and nothing is shipped: you collect it or book a tempo.
Where to find used furniture in Gurgaon
DLF Phases 1 to 5 and Golf Course Road are where corporate move-outs concentrate — expect full living-room sets, recliners, king beds and larger dining tables from families on postings. Golf Course Extension and Sohna Road have big newer societies with regular lease-end sales of queen beds, wardrobes, compact sofas and TV units. The sector societies around Sectors 43, 56 and 57 turn over steady family furniture, while New Gurgaon — Sectors 81 to 84 and nearby — has recently furnished flats, so pieces are often close to new. Ardee City and South City add furniture from independent homes, where solid wood turns up more often. For sofas specifically, see second hand sofas in Gurgaon.
When to buy and how to negotiate
Listings rise at month-end, when leases end, and whenever companies relocate staff. A seller who must vacate a flat by a fixed date is the one most likely to accept a lower offer, particularly on bulky items they cannot take with them. Offer to take several pieces together — a bed, a wardrobe and a study table from one seller — and ask for a combined price. Check comparable listings, or use the furniture price calculator, rather than anchoring on what the seller originally paid.
What to check before you pay
- Sofas. Sit on every seat, press the frame, check for sagging foam and stains under the cushions.
- Beds. Open hydraulic or box storage, check the lift mechanism and the slats. See beds.
- Study tables and chairs. Test the chair's gas lift, tilt and wheels. See study tables and office chairs.
- Wood versus board. Tap the panels — solid wood sounds dense, board sounds hollow.
Getting it out of the society
Gurgaon high-rises nearly always have move-out rules. The seller usually needs a gate pass from the maintenance office, shifting may be limited to set hours, and the goods lift often has to be booked in advance. Confirm all three before you send a tempo, and measure your own lift and doorway too.
