West of the city — Gachibowli, Nanakramguda, Madhapur, Kondapur, Nallagandla, Miyapur and Kukatpally — is flat-share territory. Expect single and queen beds, two-door wardrobes, study and computer desks, ergonomic chairs and compact sofas, usually two to four years old. Family areas such as Kukatpally Housing Board, Manikonda and LB Nagar produce larger sets: dining tables, king beds, full wardrobes. On the Secunderabad side — Marredpally, Trimulgherry, Begumpet and the older city — you find heavier, solid wooden furniture from long-settled homes, which is usually better made than anything new at the same money.
Transport is the buyer's job unless agreed otherwise, and a tempo from Kukatpally to Gachibowli is a real cost on an inexpensive item. Ask whether the piece dismantles, and check the society's shifting hours and gate-pass requirements — most gated communities on the west side have them.
